なんともでっけー「おさげ髪の少女」
昨日、名古屋へ出かけました。
名古屋市美術館で開催されている「四つの対話」という特別展、面白そうって出かけたミーハーのおさぴーです。
愛知県にゆかりのある、斉と公平太・田村友一郎・蓮沼昌宏・三瓶玲奈の4人の現代美術作家さんがそれぞれの視点・方法で名古屋市美術館のコレクションを解釈し、新作と名古屋市美術館のコレクションを組み合わせて展示空間を構成するというもの。
「えっ、どんなのだろう？？ワクワク (笑)」っていそいそと観に行くおさぴー。
斉と公平太さんがモディリアーニの「おさげ髪の少女（美術館の常設展にて展示しています）」をどのように魅せてくれるのかがおさぴーの関心事でした。
そこに、なんと斉と公平太さんが模写したというデッケー「おさげ髪の少女」がドーンと架かっていました。
案内のスタッフさんに「これって原画からの拡大印刷ですか？」って訊いてしまいました。
そうしたところ、そのお答えがナント斉と公平太さんの模写だった。
ビックリ＆面白かった！
いつもアーティストの頭の中ってどんなん？？って思うのですが、今日もハテナマークがいっぱい飛んでいました。
3月8日まで名古屋市美術館で開催していますよ。
絵を観るのも「シニアライフの実験」ですよ (笑)
ちなみに、おさぴーが履いていったのは、当店でもメッチャご好評のTOPO
One Enormous “Girl with Braids”
Yesterday, I went into Nagoya.
I’m a bit of an art fanboy, so when I saw that the Nagoya City Art Museum was holding a special exhibition called “Four Dialogues” that looked interesting, I couldn’t resist going.
The show brings together four contemporary artists connected to Aichi Prefecture — Sai Koheita, Yuichiro Tamura, Masahiro Hasunuma, and Rena Sanpei.
Each of them interprets the museum’s collection in their own way and creates an exhibition space by combining their new works with pieces from the Nagoya City Art Museum collection.
“Wow, what on earth is that going to be like? So exciting! (lol)”
With that feeling, I happily rushed off to see it.
What I was especially curious about was how Sai Koheita would present Modigliani’s “Girl with Braids” (normally on display in the museum’s permanent collection).
And there it was: this enormous “Girl with Braids,” said to be a copy painted by Sai himself, hanging there with a huge presence.
I actually asked one of the staff,
“Is this just an enlarged print of the original painting?”
To which they replied — to my surprise — that it was a hand-painted copy by Sai Koheita.
I was both astonished and delighted.
I’m always wondering, “What does an artist’s mind look like on the inside?”
Today again, there were question marks flying all over in my head.
The exhibition runs at Nagoya City Art Museum until March 8.
Looking at paintings is also part of my “senior life experiments” (lol).
By the way, the shoes I wore were TOPO — the ones that are super popular at our shop, of course.
