変えるところ、変えないところ。お店のサイトも“次へ”

動き出します

昨日、青木と一緒に豊橋へ出かけました。

この前の記事でも少し触れましたが、おさだウイズ店のサイトに“更新が必要なところ”が増えてきています。

移転前の一ツ木店時代の写真だったり、店の体制や人の面だったり。今の姿に合わせて、きちんと整え直さなければいけない時期です。

以前は、おさぴーがサイト内の手直しもほぼ全部やっていました。

ただ、前回WordPressでサイトを再構築したときに、依頼した業者さんが新しい言語で書いた部分があり、そこはブラックボックス化してしまって、こちらでは触れない状態になっていました。

ブログや「お知らせ」「かわら版」「スタッフ」などは自分たちで直せます。

でも、全体のデザインや、紐づいている写真の差し替えなど、肝心のところがこちらで出来ない。

だからこそ、新しい体制にふさわしい形に切り替える作業が必要になったわけです。

それで今回、その相談と依頼のために、豊橋の業者さんへ。

青木が「今後も踏まえて直したいところ」を整理して提示し、
どの作業にどのくらいの工数（＝費用）がかかるのか、ひとつずつ確認しながら詰めていきました。

担当の方が若くて優秀な方で、話が早い。

時間もかからず、ポイントを外さないミーティングができました。

これで、3月以降の交代に向けた準備のひとつが、ちゃんと動き出します。

帰り道、豊橋駅前を路面電車が走っているのを発見。

愛知県では豊橋だけなんだそうです。

いくつかラッピングされた電車を眺めながら、
変わるもの、変わらないもの。

いろいろあるなぁ…と、つい考えてしまいました。

……それにしても、豊橋、寒かった！

Getting Things Moving

Yesterday, Aoki and I went out to Toyohashi.

As I mentioned briefly in a previous post, there are more and more parts of the Osada With-ten website that “need updating.”
Old photos from our Hitotsugi days before the move, information about our current structure and staff…
It’s really time to bring everything properly in line with how we are now.

In the past, I (Osapi) used to handle most of the tweaks on the site myself.
However, when we last rebuilt the site in WordPress, the company we hired coded some sections in a new language, and those areas ended up becoming a sort of black box that we can’t touch on our side.

We can still edit the blog, “News,” “Kawaraban,” and “Staff” pages ourselves.
But we can’t change the overall design, or swap out key photos that are tied into the layout.
That’s exactly why we now need to switch things over into a form that fits the new era and new structure.

So this time, we visited a web company in Toyohashi to discuss and request that work.

Aoki had organized a list of “things we want to fix, with the future in mind” and presented it,
and we went through them one by one, confirming how much work (and therefore cost) each part would require.

Our contact person was young and very capable, so the conversation moved quickly.
The meeting stayed on point, without dragging on, and we got through everything efficiently.

With this, one more piece of preparation for the handover after March is finally starting to move forward.

On the way back, we spotted a streetcar running in front of Toyohashi Station.
Apparently Toyohashi is the only place in Aichi Prefecture that still has them.

Watching the different wrapped trams go by,
I couldn’t help thinking about how some things change and others stay the same.
There really are all kinds of “changes” and “constants” in the world.

…And still, Toyohashi was freezing!
